Cellular Data Plans for IoT & M2M
Cellular plans for IoT installations are not one-size-fits-all. GTS Connect offers four plan types, each customizable to your deployment, so you can balance cost, data usage, speed, and scale.
Prepaid Annual Plans (Tiered)
A preset per-SIM data allocation that runs for 1 to 5 years, or until the allocation is used. Email alerts at 75%, 90%, and 100% of usage, with optional auto-renewal.
- No minimum SIM count, no monthly fees
- Best for smaller deployments and predictable usage
- Unused data does not roll over
Traditional Pooled Plans
A shared monthly data pool across all SIMs, with the same allocation per SIM. The pool resets each month; overage charges apply only if total usage exceeds the pool.
- Simple and predictable, the same cost for every SIM
- Works well for larger fleets of similar devices
- Best when devices have consistent data use
Metered Billing Plans
Billed monthly on actual usage only, with no overage charges and no wasted data. Includes a per-SIM fee and a minimum SIM count, in exchange for lower per-MB rates.
- Pay only for the data you use, lower data rates
- No overage charges, no unused data
- Best for deployments with variable usage
Hybrid Plans
Combines a pooled allocation with tiered metered rates: the more data used, the lower the per-unit rate. Includes a minimum SIM count.
- Eliminates both overage charges and unused data
- Lower overall costs at scale
- Best for mixed deployments with high and low data users
